A few of my favorite pictures from my latest photography assignment (i'm taking an online class through Wendy Shulz....I would highly recommend it to anyone, see the right hand side of the screen for her website)

We also learnt how convert pictures to black and white properly (not using grayscale). I love the way this picture turned out....I'm going to print it out and frame it

Histogram

Did you know that there's such a thing on a camera called a Histogram? I didn't but am so glad I do now!

This is an example of a picture that I thought would be the right exposure

This is the picture I took after looking at the histogram and seeing that my exposure was a bit off:

I've been learning how to correct colour in my photo class.....boy did i need to learn how to do that! Here's a picture i was working on today. I've always liked this picture but hated the colour....what do you think?

Practicing for my Photography Course

Here are a couple of practice shots for the photo course I'm taking. This is for part of the hand metering assignment. The third full body shot was blurry so i have to redo this part of the assignment....grrrr! The camera focused on the bushes instead of the her but now i've actually read the camera manual and know how to make if focus on a particular spot (guess i should have done that when I got the camera :)). Now, I just need to think of a bribe to get Victoria to pose for me again. It's strange using the Manual mode on the camera, i've been so lazy using automatic for the last few years
