My Favourites of 2012 / Ottawa Family Photographer

I love going through all the photos of the previous year and reliving all the fantastic sessions with my clients.  I feel very blessed to meet so many wonderful people that allow me to capture a special moment in time for them.

52 Week Challenge - Week 52

wow, I can't believe my challenge has come to an end...I had a great time and I hope I inspired some of you to pick up your cameras and have fun!

The last theme of the year was "Oldness".  My good friends' Jane and Steve picked up this adorable old camera for me for my Birthday...I love it and can't wait to use it at future photo sessions as a prop!  For now, it has a place of honour on the bookshelf in my office.

52 Week Challenge - Week 51

Happy New Year everyone!  We were away for the holidays so i'm finally getting caught up on my 2012 weekly challenge.

Week 51's theme was "tired".  I took this instagram photo (I love Instagram!) on Christmas eve...I love how relaxed everyone looks, even the dog!

52 Week Challenge - Week 50

This week's theme was "After".  The kids were busy decorating a gingerbread house this week so I thought I would post the "After" they were done picture (maybe I should post an after they attacked the house picture as well :))

52 Week Challenge - Week 49

This week's theme was "smiles".  It was my 40th Birthday yesterday so thought I would do a mini photo shoot for myself.  I was too lazy to take out the tripod so my lovely daughter helped me out and took the photo for me...I think she did an awesome job, i love it!

I've tried taking more serious photos of myself but none of them look right unless i'm smiling.  If you know me well, you'll know that I always seem to have a smile on my face.  I've even had people make fun of me for smiling too much but to me that's a compliment.  My daughter came home from school the other day and commented that her friends keep telling her she smiles all the time...If she had to inherit something from me then I think that's a great thing!

52 Week Challenge - Week 48

I'm a little late posting this but last week's theme was "Beyond Reach".  My husband recently joined a men's soccer league so the kids and I went to watch him play.    The lighting in the soccer dome was really bad but I still had fun playing with my camera.

Here are a few photo's to go with this week's theme (my husband is the one in the red shorts):

The next one crack's me up...can you find the ball?  He's purposefully getting in the way of the ball when the other team was kicking it in (no wonder he comes home with bruises every week)

He's an excellent soccer player and did really well when we were there despite having a bad cold.  Here he is getting a goal.
