Brothers

These two guys love to play and torment each other. My son was playing in the backyard with his friend so Buddy ran up and stole his glove then ran away as if saying "ha ha, can't catch me"....it was so cute. Picture my son saying "hey, give me my mitt back"



Hooray, I made it one whole month with the 365 project...only 11 more left!

My husband loves cribbage and is always looking for a partner. He taught our daughter to play yesterday...she loved it (but I think that was because she beat him :))

Movie Night

Missing Tooth

Poor Ben has watched his friends lose many teeth over the last few years. He finally lost his first one last month at the age of 7 1/2 and today he lost #2....he was so excited!

Now he's going to start costing me a fortune in orthodontic bills (he has no room in his mouth for adult teeth)

I live in Ottawa which is the capital city of Canada so it has lots of tourist attractions. I thought I would make sunday tourist day and go out and explore. Today we decided to visit rideau falls...It looked cool all half frozen

can't have tourist day without a family shot. I couldn't find a spot that I thought was safe to leave my camera for the self timer so i'm not in this one, maybe next time

My son made this cute bird feeder at beavers (scouts) so we thought we would hang it up yesterday. Unfortunately the squirrels ate most of the food today....I'm glad I got a picture of it before they devoured it

Sun, glorious sun....I was starting to forget what it looked like! Today was a beautiful day (cold but at least there was sun) so i went out for a walk this morning and took pictures until my fingers were frozen. I loved all the frost on everything

I tried doing a little newborn photoshoot today. We only had about 10 minutes between feeding, etc to take pictures but I think they turned out okay. I couldn't decide if i like the full body or close up better, what do you think?

Self Portrait - every morning after the kids get on the bus, I snowshoe on the golf course behind my house....normally i would let the dog run free but I caught him eating a frozen mouse



I'm excited that I finally figured out how to put more than one picture together

My bookclub is meeting tonight and we're dicussing the book "the guernsey literary and potato peel pie society" (don't you just love the title)....well, actually what usually happens is we talk about the book for 5 minutes then we gossip and eat treats. :) Today i decided to try out a new recipe, it's a pineapple carrot cake with maple cream cheese frosting (it's out of the new epicure cookbook called back to the basics)....it smells so good, i can't wait to taste it!

Victoria's best friend slept over last night. They were supposed to be getting ready for bed but i found them in the bathroom making funny faces in the mirror

This toy caused alot of grief in our house yesterday. My son won it at school then took it out of the package at home and one minute later it was mixed up. He tried to fix it but of course he mixed it up even more. He spent the rest of the afternoon crying. He couldn't believe that my daughter and I didn't know how to fix it. I tried my best but could only get the one side completed.
Note: always make sure your kids do their homework first before playing with a new toy :)

Fresh brownies right out of the oven....the house smells so good!

Blah - not liking all those wrinkles! Paul said he liked this picture so i'm posting it for him. Next time i'll put on a little make up and use light that doesn't show off all the lines :)

January 12th

Poor Buddy - today it was confirmed that he has Lyme's disease. Luckily we caught it very early so it can be wiped out with antibiotics without him ever getting any symptoms. If you find a tick on your dog, i would highly recommend you bring it to the vet to get tested....it's free (at least it is where i live).

He's also getting over an ear infection right now caused by a groomer pulling the hair out of the ears and causing them to get inflammed. He was really sad and in pain on Friday but i'm happy to say he's now back to his usual happy go lucky self

This is a bit of a long post today. I'm so excited that my good friends Jane and Steve's beautiful daughter finally arrived yesterday morning (9 days overdue).

I had the pleasure of meeting the little angel this afternoon

I'm going to try and do a self portrait every Wednesday.

I was out shopping today and bought a new pair of jeans so decided to use them for this week's portrait.....it's suprisingly difficult to take a picture of one's own derriere :)

okay, i'm cheating a bit - this picture was actually taken at my in-laws cottage on the weekend but I borrowed my mother in law's camera and had to wait for her to email me it.

I was taking the dog for a walk and noticed the husband and son cuddling though the window....picture me sighing and saying "aaaahh, so cute". These two are usually on the go so it was nice to capture them in a quiet moment
