Another Birthday

I just celebrated my 39th Birthday this past week.  At first I was kind of depressed thinking about it being my last year before I turn the big 4-0 but then I thought it's no big deal.  I'm actually happy to be 39!  Someone jokingly asked if i'm 30 again but that age seems so young and immature to me now.

I decided to celebrate by having a quick photo shoot with myself...not an easy task!   It was a dreary day outside but i pushed some furniture around and found some nice window light (try to see if you can find where i hid the remote in each picture :)).

Buddy is really nosey and doesn't like to feel left out so joined me for some photos

My husband and kids made me feel really special.  We went out for a nice dinner then we had this delicious camera cake that they made me...isn't it awesome?!

Family of 7 / Orleans Family Photographer

The children of this family were so adorable and well behaved...it was such a pleasure photographing them!

It was pretty cold out so we let the kids have a little break to play at the park while Mom and Dad snuggled :)

Talented Kids / Bridlewood Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of taking pictures of another great family on the weekend!  I don't want to spoil the surprise of their Christmas cards so won't post any family photos but i just had to post a couple of pictures of the talented kids.

It was pretty cold outside but the kids were wonderful and put up with the cold so we could get some nice photos...how amazing is that?!

Baby Fix/ Kanata Newborn Photographer

My kids are older now (12 and 9) so I love it when a newborn comes to my studio so I can get my baby fix.  Cute little "J" didn't disappoint...what a sweetie pie!!

Lucky Man/ Ottawa Family Photographer

I met this family when their middle daughter was a baby and have loved watching their kids grow over the years.  They are so sweet and are a blast to hang out with.  How lucky is Dad to get to be around these four beautiful ladies?!

They still have so much love for each other after 15 years of marriage!

I got so many adorable pictures of these two that I had to put another one in the post...aren't they the cutest?!  :)

Gorgeous Weather! Last minute mini sessions

What a gorgeous day! I'm so excited that there is still some beautiful Fall foliage and will be offering a few more Fall mini sessions for the next week on some weekday mornings and early afternoons. It's a perfect chance to get pictures for holiday gifts and cards. 


These are quick sessions that last approximately 20 minutes at a park in Kanata and include an 8x10 and 2- 5x7" prints.  
Cost is $100

Cute Couple / Ottawa Couples Photographer

I met Karen years ago and was super excited when she contacted me to take pictures for her.

I love dogs and was very happy that they brought little Toby along!

Monkey Business/ Ottawa Children's Photographer

I had so much fun with these adorable kids and their sweet dog "Gus"!  They showed me some great spots to take pictures in and even ended the session with some tree climbing.

I just love that headband and scarf!

I know the kids are looking forward to seeing a tree picture so I had to include one!

 I had the pleasure of meeting this charming family at my Fall mini sessions.  The kids were so nice and I especially loved their adorable dog Finnegan!

Family of 5 - Ottawa Family Photographer

This was the first family that I photographed when starting my Photography business so I was really excited to get a chance to photograph them again...they are so beautiful on the inside and out and I had an awesome time with them!

A natural in front of the camera...look at that attitude!

The lovebirds hadn't gotten their picture together since they were married so I was excited to snap a few shots, aren't they cute?!

New Mini Session Date

My mini sessions this past weekend were a such a success that I've have several requests for another date.  I'm pleased to announce that I will be doing another day of Mini sessions on Saturday, October 15th.

You may be thinking....What is a mini session?!

Mini sessions:

• are quick  and casual...they're only 20 minutes in length.
• are a great way to  update your Family photos or get prints for Christmas presents or  cards
• include  approximately 10-15 proofs in your private online gallery
• include 1- 8 x10"  and 2- 5x7" prints
• are only $100  (that's $120 off a regular session and prints)
• are done at  one specific location of my choosing.  A beautiful park in Kanata

Workshop - Ottawa Family Photographer

I love constantly learning new tips and techniques so decided to attend a workshop with the Professional Photographers of Canada on the weekend.  I had the pleasure of working with these adorable families...they did such a great job and the kids were so wonderful and patient and didn't mind being moved around!

Look at those outfits and handsome boys....so cute!

This family was so much fun!  I just love how they're cuddled in together and would like to try a shot like this with my own family some time soon!

Fall Mini Sessions, October 1st

It's hard to believe that Fall is almost upon us already!  The good news is that it's the perfect time to have portraits taken during one of Ottawa's prettiest and most photogenic months!  


Last year's Fall mini sessions were a great success so i've decided to offer them again this year.

Mini sessions are quick and casual!

• They're only 20 minutes in length and include 1- 8 x10" and 2- 5x7" prints
• They're only $100 (that's $120 off a regular session and prints)
• They're done at one specific location of my choosing.  The tentative location is a park in Kanata
• Receive approximately 10 proofs in your private online gallery.

Sisters/Ottawa Children's Photographer

When I was little, I wished I had a sister and watching these two sisters brought back those feelings.  It must be nice to have someone to share clothing with, confide in and even fight with!  :)
